Description

You can own a piece of history: an exclusive first edition print of artist Joseph Sagaj's commissioned medallion located in the Centre for Innovation, Technology & Entrepreneurship (CITE) building at Newnham Campus. Print measures 20x24 in or 50.5x60.5 cm.

By way of Teachings, Ceremonies, Elders, and Community Resources, this design integrates culture, heritage, spirituality, a system of governance, and symbolisms of the Inuit, Metis, and First Nations from the Great Lakes Region.

Joseph is Anishnaabe of the Sturgeon Clan from the remote community of Neskantaga, 433 km northeast of Thunder Bay, Ontario. He graduated in Fine Arts at the Ontario College of Art & Design in 1985.
