Women running for office will be the to taking back Montana following the Republican red wave that crashed over Montana in 2020. Right now our work revolves around classic organizing and building community via our early, informal training sessions online. 

 

Grassroots conversations are also a big part of our work. We're constantly in conversation with Montana women around the state who are interested in school boards, city commissions, local city board opportunities, and the Legislature, and need advice on next steps, fundraising help, and connections to the helpful infrastructure that already exists. 

 

The recruiting and support we do is critical to candidates' success. Using the Montana Legislature as an example, women in both houses were few and far between when Carol Williams founded this organization 15-ish years ago -- and today women are the majority of Ds in both houses. But because we have term limits, and research showing that we have to ask a woman to run seven times before she'll say yes, our work never ends!
