ABOUT THE COOL CULTURE UNGALA:

The Cool Culture UnGala is stripping away the traditional elements of a fundraising gala to create an experience that is reflective of our culturally diverse city! Get ready for an evening of creative energy and a redefinition of the arts as a tool for community building and activism.

Since 1999, Cool Culture has helped New York City’s most diverse families gain access to this city’s rich cultural offerings as a tool to increase literacy and learning. This year we will honor Sanford Biggers, world renowned artist and activist, for his work in the arts and the community and Ayqa Khan, an emerging photographer and digital illustrator for her work using art as a form of social activism and commentary. We are also delighted that Arnold Lehman - Senior Advisor at Phillips, Director Emeritus of the Brooklyn Museum, and arts access advocate, will join us as our special guest speaker.

We hope you will join us!
