HOLIDAY FOR CHARITY

Holiday for Charity is a charity program organized by DestinAsian Indonesia and Rotary Club Jakarta Cilandak. The program will raise funds for Rawinala Foundation, which runs a Jakarta-based educational and care facility for multi-disabled, visually-impaired children, by auctioning amazing holiday packages from 21 hotels in Indonesia and around Asia. These hotel packages all come with a range of complimentary benefits, and are priced at a very special rate.

PREVIOUS PROJECT 

Rawinala Foundation (www.rawinala.org) is a Jakarta-based educational and care facility for multi-disabled, visually-impaired (MDVI) children. Rotary Club Jakarta Cilandak have already funded overhead canopy covers on their outdoor walkaways, ensuring that children, teachers, carers, and staff remain dry regardless of the weather.

THE CURRENT PROJECT

Rotary Club Jakarta Cilandak is raising funds to build a training centre for teachers and carers from around Indonesia, who will then return to their communities to look after the well-being and education of multi-disabled, visually-impaired children in those areas.

The ultimate goal is to provide access to help for as many MDVI children in Indonesia as possible. Currently there are only 5 MVDI schools in Indonesia caring for 200 children (less than 1% of the estimated number of MVDI children in Indonesia). As no administrative fees will be deducted, all the proceeds from this auction will be utilized for this building project.
