In recognition that without the traditions preserved and promoted by the century-old Country Dance and Song Society, the participatory arts of traditional music, song and dance would not be as vital and communal in California as it is today. This auction is a fundraising initiative in appreciation of CDSS through its years of nurturing that allow others to continues to thrive.
