The Upwind Summer Scholarship Program is getting ready for takeoff of the 2024 program. Through the generosity of individuals from the aviation community in 2023, we awarded five (5) scholarships to high-school students and over the course of the summer transformed them from budding aviators to pilots-in-command. In 2013 the organization started with a dream and, through a lot of hard work and support from the pilot community, we reached the goal of creating an amazing scholarship.

Our focus

Upwind’s focus is to sustain an annual scholarship program whereby eligible high-school student(s) with an interest in aviation are provided with 9-weeks of ground and flight training to prepare them to take their private pilot checkride.
