A dozen opportunities to experience unique places, in and around the Park

Because of the tremendous support for the Adventure Auction at last year’s Gala, the Friends of South Cumberland have transformed the auction into an activity in which the entire community can participate, whether you’re planning to attend the Gala or not.

Online bidding allows those who can’t make the Gala event an opportunity to get in on some of the unique experiences being offered, while simultaneously helping the Park.  Bids can be made from any online device, and bidders can elect to receive text notifications if and when they are out-bid; participants may bid as many times as they like.  The highest online bid will be posted at the October 6th Gala event, and if it is not topped by an in-person bid at the event, the high online bidder will win the item being offered.

For most items, the winning bidder can choose the date on which their group will schedule their Adventure.  Most Adventures are planned well in advance, to allow bidders time to put together their groups. The number of participants varies for each Adventure, and each has a few requirements, about which bidders must be aware.

HOW TO BID ONLINE:

To see and bid on available Adventure Auction items...

1) Click on the green "VIEW ITEMS" link at the upper left of this page (all options under that button take you to the same place).

2) On the following page are the auction listings. Simply click on the item on which you'd like to bid.  NOTE: Do NOT try to "Sort Items" by "Open for Bidding" or "Pre-view items Only" options (those options don't work).

3) On the following screen, click the green "PRE-BID ONLY" button to place your bid. 

4) On the following screen, you will need to log in to bid; if you're already logged in, you'll be taken directly to the bid page.  NOTE: If this is your first time bidding, you will have to set up an online bidding account by clicking the "NOT A BIDDER YET? SIGN UP" link.  It's quick and only takes a minute.  Once set up, you won't have to enter this info again; just log in with your email and password.
