COVID 19 is changing everything about our normal lives. One thing that has not changed is our support of the Matt Cook Foundation, their mission and most importantly the needs of the patients they serve.
Although this is the 9th Annual Charity Challenge, it is the first ever outdoor 24hr ball hockey game that we have delivered! As our normally scheduled dinner, ceremony and in-person silent auction have been cancelled, we have adapted to allow our supporters, friends and family to support our mission from the comfort of their own homes. Our silent auction, awesome raffles including the Tailgating Party Package, a Handmade Hockey Themed Quilt and the ever popular 50/50 draw have all moved online. Tailgating Party Package
This package is exactly what you need for your next outdoor get together. Just add your COVID cohort, some food and get the party started. The package includes a Broil King Porta-Chef 120 BBQ, Hop House 13 cooler and some beer, Kettle One stemless wine glasses (10) with 2 bottles of Riesling, Hockey Themed BBQ utensils, a Town Square Brewing $30 gift card, hat and beer and a $50 gift card to Real Deal Meats.
This is an amazing, one-of-a-kind quilt HANDMADE by June Waknuk, who has previously created many other special quilts for each annual 24hr Game. This unique quilt features a fun hockey print that will excite hockey fans of all ages. It was made with lots of love and care and so the quality of this quilt is absolutely second to none. You don’t want to miss your chance at this beautiful one-of-a-kind item!
The tickets are 1 for $5, 3 for $10 or 10 for $20. There are limited quantities of each so hurry and get yours. The 50/50 is structured to raise up to $20,000 with half staying with the event and the other half going to the lucky winner.
The auction and draws will end at 6:00 p.m. on August 29, 2020 when the game is complete. Raffle winners will be drawn the evening of August 29, 2020. Winners must pick up their items in Northeast Edmonton at the location provided in the notification at the conclusion of the event. Pickup will be available August 31 and September 1 from 6-8 p.m. Photo identification will be required for pick up.
