As a result of the COVID-19 health emergency, CAC Mobile Meals has experienced an increase of over 150 clients needing services, increasing our hand delivered meals to a daily average of over 1,200 clients. Federal funding represents only 31% of our budget, and fundraisers like Power of the Purse helps us to bridge that gap as well as sustain our growth. Contributing to Power of the Purse, whether donating or participating in the auction, will ensure our ability to continue to serve food to insecure seniors without a waiting list. 

From Tuesday, September 22nd @ 8:00 am EST to Thursday, September 24th @ 6:00 pm EST, our purse loving supporters will have the opportunity to auction on six exciting packages from Patricia Nash. Each package comes with matching jewelry and accessories, and will include over $250 in gift cards from local businesses + $100 in gift cards from Kroger. All proceeds go directly to providing meals for seniors. We hope to see you (in person… hopefully) at next year’s Power of the Purse to celebrate CAC Mobile Meals’ 50^th anniversary.
