Five Finger Lighthouse Society welcomes you to our online art auction. The purpose is to help provide financial support for the continued preservation of the historic lighthouse on Five Finger Island in Southeast Alaska. The variety of creative works donated to this event by the artists from Petersburg and other locations is a testiment to the high regard the public has for this lighthouse, its history, and the role it still plays today as an important landmark worthy of preservation for generations to come. We truly thank and appreciate everyone who has created something unique for this event and who donated their beautiful art pieces to help raise funds to continue the preservation of this historical place. 

This auction is online from September 3 until Sunday Oct 31, 2021. Additional pieces of art may be added, so we recommend that people visit the site often.  People will be able to bid as many times and for as many items as they chose, as well as buy a piece for the price shown for Buy it Now. Online bidding will close on Oct 31 at noon. We will be having an in-person art show (of all the items seen for the online bidding) at the Clausen Museum during the first two weeks of October (4-15th). Viewing will be during museum business hours. Stop in to get a closer look at all the art seen on line.

The Five Finger Lighthouse Society, 501(c)(3), non-profit owns and operates the historic lighthouse situated at the confluence of Stephen's Passage and Frederick Sound about 40 miles north of Petersburg, Alaska. The lighthouse has served mariners since 1902, when the first lighthouse was constructed to help guide traveling miners during the Gold Rush of Alaska and the Yukon. In 1933 that house burnt down, and the present day building was constructed in 1935. It was operated by the Coast Guard until 1997 when the Five Finger Lighthouse Society took over the responsibility. The society wants to continue to share the place with others such as non-profits, artists, volunteers and has been transformed into a scientific research station, artists retreat, museum and home away from home for lighthouse keepers.
